Recap: IUPU-Ft Wayne vs. SIU Edwardsville

Fort Wayne, IN (SportsNetwork.com) - Luis Jacobo scored 20 points as the IUPU- Fort Wayne Mastodons routed the SIU Edwardsville Cougars, 95-75, in a non- conference contest at Gates Sports Center.

Pierre Bland tallied a double-double with 14 points and 11 boards for the Mastodons (9-4). Isaiah McCray and Michael Kibiloski each had 11 points, while Steve Forbes chipped in 10 as the team won for the third time in as many outings.

Maurice Wiltz and Keaton Jackson each scored 14 points for SIUE (2-8). Donivine Stewart and Kris Davis both dropped in 11 points in their second straight setback.

IPFW shot 52.2 percent from the field in the first half to give it a 39-31 lead heading into the half. The Cougars knocked down 44.8 percent of their field goal attempts and went 3-of-10 from beyond the arc.

After the break the Mastodons shot 61.3 percent from the floor, including 9- of-15 from 3-point range to cruise to an easy victory.

IPFW held a 37-24 rebounding advantage and outscored the Cougars 12-2 in fast break points.
