Recap: La Salle vs. Siena

Philadelphia, PA (SportsNetwork.com) - Tyreek Duren scored 20 points, leading the La Salle Explorers in a late surge past the Siena Saints, 78-74, at Tom Gola Arena.

Duren shot 7-for-13 from the field for the Explorers (2-1), and Jerrell Wright posted a double-double with 15 points and 11 rebounds. Sam Mills (13 points) and Tyrone Garland (11) were La Salle's other players in double figures.

Rob Poole led the Saints (0-3) with a game-high 21 points, shooting 9-for-15 from the field. Lavon Long recorded 11 points and nine rebounds, and Evan Hymes added another 11 points off the bench.

At the end of a back-and-forth first half, Siena edged out a 42-38 lead, shooting 17-of-32 from the field, including 5-of-6 from 3-point range, slightly better than the Explorers' 13-of-32 showing.

Though the Saints led through most of the second half, including 66-58 with under seven minutes to play, La Salle took control of the game with a 16-2 run late.

The Explorers outscored the Saints at the foul line, 24-5.
