Recap: St Bonaventure vs. La Salle

St. Bonaventure, NY (SportsNetwork.com) - Charlon Kloof scored a game-high 18 points as the St. Bonaventure Bonnies coasted to a 66-51 victory over the La Salle Explorers in an Atlantic 10 Conference matchup at the Reilly Center.

Kloof also dealt out seven assists and swiped three steals for the Bonnies (12-7, 2-3 A-10). Marquise Simmons and Matthew Wright scored 10 points each.

Tyreek Duren led La Salle (11-7, 3-1) with 16 points while Tyron Garland tallied 14 points.

Although the Explorers connected on only 35 percent of their shots from the floor in the first half, they went into the intermission trailing by a single- possession at 30-27. SBU shot 42.3 percent from the field including an 0-of-7 clip from 3-point range in the opening period.

La Salle was held to 26.7 percent efficiency from the field and committed eight turnovers in the second stanza. The Bonnies pulled away as they drained 46.2 percent of their field goal tries and 10-of-11 at the free-throw line after halftime.

The loss was the first in league play of the season for the Explorers, who were outrebounded, 36-32. SBU outscored the visitors, 36-20, in the paint.
