Recap: Buffalo vs. St Bonaventure

Buffalo, NY (SportsNetwork.com) - Jarryn Skeete and Shannon Evans each scored 17 points as the Buffalo Bulls pulled out a 78-73 victory over the St. Bonaventure Bonnies in a non-conference tussle at Alumni Arena.

Skeete went 3-of-4 from beyond the arc and also collected a team-high six rebounds for Buffalo (3-2). Evans hit 5-of-10 off the bench and Joshua Freelove (13 points) and Javon McCrea (10 points) also got in the mix.

Charlon Kloof tallied 17 points and five assists to lead St. Bonaventure (6-3). Andell Cumberbatch posted a double-double (16 points, 10 rebounds) and Marquise Simmons added 16 points and seven boards.

Even though they shot at a 52.2 percent clip in the first half, the Bonnies only led 39-38 at the break. The Bulls kept it close thanks to an 18-11 edge on the boards and a 14-of-14 effort from the free-throw line.

After intermission the Bulls hit a steady 50 percent of their field goal tries, including 6-of-11 from beyond the arc, to take in the win. The Bulls let themselves down by hitting just 40 percent from the floor, including 1- of-6 from 3-point range.

The Bulls outscored the Bonnies, 24-3, from beyond the arc as well as from the free-throw line (28-24).
