Recap: Long Island vs. Eastern Wash

Irvine, CA (SportsNetwork.com) - Six players scored in double figures for Eastern Washington as the Eagles secured a 102-70 victory over the Long Island Blackbirds in a matchup in the 2K Sports Classic at Bren Events Center.

Venky Jois and Parker Kelly each scored 17 points to lead Eastern Washington (4-1), which faces host UC Irvine in the final game of the event on Sunday. Tyler Harvey added 14 points. Drew Brandon tallied 13 points and seven assists, Thomas Reuter chipped in 13 points off the bench and Martin Seiferth tacked on 12 points.

Gerrell Martin led Long Island (1-3) with 17 points while Gilbert Parga and D.J. Griggs each contributed 13. The Blackbirds will wrap up the weekend against Boston University.

Kelly scored 14 points and hit four of the Eagles' eight 3-pointers in the first half to help them take a 54-29 lead at the break. Long Island had nine total field goals in the period.

The Eagles shot at a 68 percent clip over the final 20 minutes to close out the victory.

Eastern Washington hit 63.9 percent of its shots in the game and had a 20-6 advantage in points off turnovers.
