Recap: William & Mary vs. Richmond

Williamsburg, VA (SportsNetwork.com) - Cedrick Lindsay scored 22 points and handed out six assists as the Richmond Spiders defeated the William & Mary Tribe, 71-60, in a non-conference game Kaplan Arena.

Kendall Anthony scored 19 points for the Spiders (7-2) as he shot 5-of-8 behind the 3-point line in 24 minutes off the bench.

Marcus Thornton led the Tribe (4-4) with 26 points. Omar Prewitt chipped in 10 points in a reserve role, but at the same time was charged with six turnovers.

Richmond shot well in the first period making 52.2 percent of its field goal attempts and 5-of-11 from 3-point range. The Spiders held a 36-30 lead at the half as the Tribe struggled with just 30 percent accuracy from the floor. of-12 from beyond the arc.
