Recap: Eastern Wash vs. Montana

Cheney, WA (SportsNetwork.com) - Martin Seiferth logged a double-double with 21 points and 12 rebounds to lead the Eastern Washington Eagles to a 69-62 victory over the Montana Grizzlies in Big Sky Conference play at Reese Court.

Seiferth shot an impressive 10-of-13 from the field for the Eagles (6-8, 1-2 Big Sky), who snapped a six-game losing streak. Tyler Harvey poured in a game- high 25 points. Venky Jois added 14 points.

Keron DeShields netted 17 points to lead the Grizzlies (6-6, 1-2), who have lost two of their last three. Jordan Gregory and Kareem Jamar added 13 and 10 points, respectively.

Both teams were able to hit 12 shots from the field in the first half, but the Eagles also went 6-of-9 at the line to take a narrow 32-31 lead into halftime.

In the second half, the Eagles shot a confident 53.6 percent from the floor to the Grizzlies' 41.7 percent. The Grizzlies led by a point 1:30 into the half, but this turned out to be their only lead in the final 20 minutes.

The Eagles outscored the Grizzlies 18-8 in points off turnovers and 42-30 in the paint.
