Recap: Northern Ariz vs. Eastern Wash

Flagstaff, AZ (SportsNetwork.com) - Quinton Upshur scored 26 points as the Northern Arizona Lumberjacks routed the Eastern Washington Eagles, 84-65, in a Big Sky Conference contest at the Walkup Skydome.

Aaseem Dixon registered 15 points and five steals for the Lumberjacks (7-9, 4-1 Big Sky), who won their third straight game. Ako Kaluna added 15 points and Max Jacobsen chipped in 10 on 4-of-7 shooting from the floor. Gaellen Bewernick had seven rebounds.

Tyler Harvey paced the Eagles (7-9, 2-3) with 25 points. Venky Jois logged a double-double with 14 points and 15 boards while Parker Kelly had 11 points.

NAU connected on 40 percent of its field goal attempts in the first half en route to a 36-27 halftime lead. EWU shot 30 percent from the floor including 2-of-11 from 3-point range before the break.

The Lumberjacks drained 60.9 percent of their shots from the field in the second period as they cruised to an easy win. NAU started the half on a 22-6 run and never looked back.

NAU dominated inside as it outscored the Eagles, 48-23, in the paint.
