Recap: Sacramento St vs. Eastern Wash

Sacramento, CA (SportsNetwork.com) - Dylan Garrity scored 18 points to lead the Sacramento State Hornets to a 75-64 win over the Eastern Washington Eagles in a Big Sky dust-up at the Nest.

Zach Mills tacked on 17 points for Sacramento State (6-9, 2-4 Big Sky), which had lost four of its previous five. Cody Demps added 10 points.

Venky Jois recorded 17 points and seven rebounds for Eastern Washington (7-10, 2-4), which has lost eight of its last 10. Tyler Harvey netted 15 points, Drew Brandon tallied 13 and Parker Kelly chipped in 11.

In the first half the Hornets shot 50 percent from the floor and limited the Eagles to just 37.9 percent. Sacramento State led 38-28 at halftime.

After the break the Hornets shot an even 50 percent from the field, which was more than enough to hold off the Eagles, who had only nine field goals in the frame.

The Hornets owned a 37-28 advantage on the glass and a 28-20 edge on points in the paint.
