Recap: Portland State vs. Eastern Wash

Portland, OR (SportsNetwork.com) - Andre Winston scored 23 points to lead five players in double figures for the Portland State Vikings, who defeated the Eastern Washington Eagles 92-83 in a Big Sky Conference duel at the Stott Center.

DaShaun Wiggins tallied 21 points off the bench, Tim Douglas added 17 and Kyle Richardson and Gary Winston netted 12 apiece for Portland State (9-8, 4-4 Big Sky), which has won four of its last five.

Ognjen Miljkovic finished with a game-high 32 points to pace Eastern Washington (8-11, 3-5), which has lost three of its last four. Tyler Harvey contributed 18 points and Venky Jois hung up a double-double of 11 points and 10 rebounds.

The Eagles shot 69.6 percent from the floor in the first half to claim a 40-30 lead at the break, The Vikings only hit on 39.3 percent from the floor, but they knocked down 5-of-14 from 3-point range to stay within striking distance.

In the second half Portland State heated up to 65.5 percent shooting, while draining 20-of-23 shots from the free-throw line. Eastern Washington could not hold off the Vikings, connecting on only 36.1 percent of its field goal tries after the break.

Eastern Washington had a 37-28 advantage on the glass. Portland State scored 35 points off of turnovers.
