ISU went just 7-of-27 from the floor in the second period, but managed to pull away by converting 16-of-26 attempts at the free-throw line. The Thunderbirds cooled off to hit on only 25 percent of their field goal attempts after the break.

The Bengals outscored the visitors, 26-16, in the paint and held a dominant, 46-27, edge in the rebounding battle.
