Recap: Loyola-Maryland vs. Lafayette

Baltimore, MD (SportsNetwork.com) - Dylon Cormier delivered the fourth double- double of his career as he tallied 25 points and 11 rebounds for the Loyola- Maryland Greyhounds during their 77-63 win over the Lafayette Leopards in a Patriot League battle at Reitz Arena.

Also logging a double-double for the Greyhounds (8-8, 3-2 Patriot) was R.J. Williams with 12 points and a game-high 10 assists, adding six rebounds for good measure. Eric Laster and Jordan Latham contributed 14 and 12 points, respectively, as Loyola won a second straight game.

The Leopards (4-12, 0-5) were led by Nick Linder with 17 points and seven assists, while Joey Ptasinski tallied 15 points on 5-of-8 shooting behind the 3-point line as Lafayette's losing streak extended to seven.

Both teams shot better than 50 percent from the field in the first half, with Lafayette hitting on a sizzling 7-of-8 beyond the arc, and yet the visitors led by just two points at the break, 37-35.

After making good on 52 percent from the floor through the first 20 minutes, the Leopards saw their accuracy drop all the way down to just 29.2 percent in the second half, allowing the Greyhounds to surge ahead for the double-digit home win.

Loyola-Maryland converted just 4-of-16 on the perimeter, but the team did connect on 54.9 percent from the floor overall.
