Recap: Weber State vs. Montana

Ogden, UT (SportsNetwork.com) - Davion Berry scored a game-high 25 points as the Weber State Wildcats slipped by the Montana Grizzlies, 68-63, in Big Sky Conference action at the Dee Events Center.

Also scoring in double figures for the Wildcats (10-6, 7-1 Big Sky) was Joel Bolomboy who coupled his 12 points with a staggering 19 rebounds, followed by Kyndahl Hill and Kyle Tresnak with 11 and 10 points, respectively. Still all alone atop the conference standings, Weber State has won five straight and eight of the last nine outings.

The Grizzlies (8-9, 3-5) were paced by Kareem Jamar and his 20 points, but he shot just 7-of-21 from the floor, followed by Mike Weisner with 17 points off the bench as the squad bowed for the second time in three games. Jordan Gregory pitched in with 13 points and Keron DeShields 11.

Both teams converted a total of 12 field goals in the first half, but thanks to a 5-of-11 showing behind the 3-point line and a 5-2 edge at the charity stripe, WSU enjoyed a 34-30 advantage at the break.

The Wildcats dropped off considerably on the perimeter, sinking just 2-of-11 tries, but with Montana hitting only 10 field goals in the frame, it was still good enough for the hosts to come away with the win.

WSU owned a 37-29 advantage on the glass and also outscored the Grizzlies by a 15-10 margin at the free-throw line.
