Recap: Robert Morris vs. Bryant

Moon Township, PA (SportsNetwork.com) - Karvel Anderson scored 24 points as the Robert Morris Colonials narrowly defeated the Bryant Bulldogs, 79-76, in a Northeast Conference clash at the Sewall Center.

Anthony Myers-Pate logged 21 points on 8-of-9 shooting for the Colonials (12-10, 7-0 NEC), who have won seven straight games. Lucky Jones cleared eight boards with four assists.

Alex Francis registered a double-double with 30 points and 10 rebounds for the Bulldogs (13-9, 5-2), who snapped a four-game winning streak. Corey Maynard and Dyami Starks also had double-digit points with 19 and 10, respectively, as Joe O'Shea had five assists.

Robert Morris made 48.6 percent of its shots from the floor in the first period, including 6-of-17 from 3-point range, and led 42-34 at the half. Bryant connected on 50 percent of its field goal attempts, while taking seven fewer shots.

The Bulldogs converted 53.1 percent of their shots from the field on nine more shot attempts than the Colonials in the second frame. After being up by 14 points early in the half, Bryant cut Robert Morris' lead to just one with 14 seconds left. Anderson converted two free-throw attempts with 12 seconds left to put the Colonials up three. Maynard missed a game-tying 3-point attempt with two seconds left to assure a win for Robert Morris.

The Colonials held a 36-28 rebounding advantage over the Bulldogs, and a 16-7 edge in bench points. Bryant outscored Robert Morris in points in the paint, 42-24.
