Recap: Northern Ariz vs. Weber State

Flagstaff, AZ (SportsNetwork.com) - Davion Berry scored 28 points and grabbed eight rebounds as the Weber State Wildcats defeated the Northern Arizona Lumberjacks, 76-67, in Big Sky Conference play at the Walkup Skydome.

Jeremy Senglin chipped in 15 points for Weber State (11-6, 8-1 Big Sky). Joel Bolomboy narrowly missed a double-double with nine points and 13 rebounds. The Wildcats have won six games in a row.

Max Jacobsen scored 18 points to pace Northern Arizona (8-12, 5-4). Quinton Upshur scored 15 and added eight rebounds, while Kris Yanku chipped in 14 points in the loss. The Lumberjacks have lost three consecutive games.

Weber State connected on 52.4 percent of its shots in the first half, including 3-of-6 from 3-point range, and took a 35-29 lead into the break. Northern Arizona shot 46.2 percent from the floor in the frame.

The Wildcats improved their shooting in the second period, hitting 55.6 percent from the field. The Lumberjacks shot 37.5 percent in the period.

Northern Arizona had the edge in rebounding, 39-28, and from the free-throw line, 28-18. Northern Arizona won the battle in points in the paint, 42-28, and in points off turnovers, 16-6.
