Recap: Weber State vs. Portland State

Ogden, UT (SportsNetwork.com) - Davion Berry scored a game-high 21 points as the Weber State Wildcats captured a 79-62 win over the Portland State Vikings in Big Sky Conference action at the Dee Events Center.

Jeremy Senglin accounted for 13 points and eight assists, followed by Jordan Richardson with 12 points on 4-of-7 shooting behind the 3-point line for the Wildcats (5-5, 2-0 Big Sky) as they won for the third time in as many outings.

The Vikings (5-6, 0-2), losers of two straight and five of the last six, were led by DaSahun Wiggins and Gary Winston with 16 and 13 points, respectively.

Both teams shot 44.4 percent from the floor in the first half, the difference being Weber State's 4-of-11 effort beyond the arc and 8-of-9 at the free-throw line, leading the hosts to a 36-27 edge at the break.

In the second half PSU dipped to 37.9 percent from the field, while the Wildcats jumped to 60 percent, en route to the 17-point win.

WSU owned a 37-25 advantage on the glass and outscored Portland State at the charity stripe, 22-10.
