Miami (8-10, 4-3) was led by Geovonie McKnight, who netted 18 points on 7- of-15 shooting from the floor. Quinten Rollins scored 14 points while Will Sullivan chipped in 11. McKnight and Sullivan swiped four steals each. Bill Edwards was limited to 1-of-12 shooting from the field and just six points.

Toledo took a 37-33 lead into the intermission after it hit on 48.6 percent of its field goal tries in the opening 20 minutes of the contest. The RedHawks made 43.8 percent of their shots from the floor but missed all five of their attempts from 3-point range in the first half.
