Recap: Davidson vs. Drexel

Davidson, NC (SportsNetwork.com) - Frantz Massenat tied a career high with 25 points as the Drexel Dragons cruised by the Davidson Wildcats, 72-58, at Belk Arena.

Massenat shot 6-of-10 from the field and 11-of-16 from the free-throw line for the Dragons (7-2). Chris Fouch tallied 17 points on 7-of-15 from the floor. Dartaye Ruffin pulled down 11 rebounds and added five points.

Tyler Kalinoski notched a double-double for the Wildcats (4-7) with 13 points and 12 rebounds. Brian Sullivan and Jordan Barham added 14 and 11 points, respectively.

The Wildcats struggled offensively in the first half, shooting a lowly 26.9 percent from the floor. The Dragons, in turn, shot 41.2 percent to go up 37-27 at the half.

The second half was only slightly more kind to the Wildcats, as they improved to shoot 37.5 from the field. That included only 1-of-11 from 3-point range, however, and Davidson hit just 6-of-15 from the line in the second stanza. Drexel's consistent performance continued as it led the game from start to finish.

Davidson hit just 3-of-22 from the perimeter and just over half its free-throw chances (17-of-31) as it failed to establish an offensive rhythm.
