Spokane, WA (SportsNetwork.com) - Sam Dower Jr. registered a double-double with 25 points and 15 rebounds as the Gonzaga Bulldogs defeated the Loyola Marymount Lions, 86-67, in a West Coast Conference matchup at the McCarthey Athletic Center.

Also scoring in double figures for the Bulldogs (23-4, 13-1 WCC), as they won for the ninth time in the last 10 outings, were Kevin Pangos with 17 points, Gary Bell Jr. 14, and Przemek Karnowski 11 points in the victory.

The Lions (11-16, 3-12) were paced by Anthony Ireland who tallied 23 points and handed out five assists, followed by Evan Payne and Gabe Levin with 17 points apiece in the team's sixth consecutive setback.

Loyola led by as many as three points early in the first half, but that was before the Bulldogs picked up the pace and eventually knocked down 53.1 percent from the floor, en route to a 45-31 advantage at the break.

After shooting 44.4 percent from the floor through the first 20 minutes, the Lions dropped slightly to 40.0 percent in the second half which wasn't nearly enough to keep pace with the hosts in the 19-point decision.

Gonzaga, which outscored LMU in the paint by a 38-24 margin, also won the battle of the boards, 40-25.
