Recap: UNC Greensboro vs. James Madison

Greensboro, NC (SportsNetwork.com) - Nicholas Paulos scored 21 points on 7- of-11 from 3-point range, as the UNC Greensboro Spartans beat the James Madison Dukes, 78-65, in a non-conference game at Greensboro Coliseum.

Kyle Cain scored 20 points and brought down seven boards for the Spartans (6-6). RJ White added 12 points, while Kayel Locke chipped in 11.

Ron Curry led the Dukes (3-9) with 23 points. Tom Vodanovich paced the team with six rebounds and two blocks.

James Madison shot 56.5 percent from the floor and went 4-of-9 from beyond the arc in the first half to take a 42-36 lead into the intermission. The Spartans couldn't quite keep pace, as they made 46.2 percent on their field goal tries, including 3-of-8 from 3-point range.

The second half proved to be a different story, as UNCG made 55.6 percent of its shots from the field, including an outstanding 8-of-11 from 3-point range to take control of the contest. The Dukes regressed to 32 percent from the field over the final 20 minutes.

UNCG was able to capitalize on James Madison's miscues, as the Spartans edged the Dukes 11-5 in points off turnovers.
