Recap: Coll of Charleston vs. Northeastern

Charleston, SC (SportsNetwork.com) - Scott Eatherton notched a double-double with 22 points and 10 rebounds as the Northeastern Huskies routed the College of Charleston Cougars, 60-44, in Colonial Athletic Association action at TD Arena.

Reggie Spencer tallied 15 points for the Huskies (9-18, 6-7 CAA), who returned to the win column following back-to-back losses. David Walker added 10 points in the victory.

Joe Chealey logged 11 points for the Cougars (13-14, 5-7), who have lost three of their last four. Canyon Barry netted 10 points.

The Cougars struggled early on, shooting just 24 percent from the field in the opening half. The Huskies, in turn, shot 39.1 percent and got out to a 22-18 halftime lead.

The Huskies picked up their play in the second half, shooting 54.2 percent from the floor. The Cougars also improved,, but to just 34.5 percent.

Northeastern outscored the home team 30-22 in the paint and hit 5-of-8 from the perimeter to get the win.
