Recap: UNC-Wilmington vs. Delaware

Wilmington, NC (SportsNetwork.com) - Jarvis Threatt scored a team-high 24 points and dished out six assists as the Delaware Blue Hens clinched at least a share of the Colonial Athletic Association title with their victory over the UNC Wilmington Seahawks, 70-57, at Trask Coliseum.

Carl Baptiste tallied a double-double with 10 points and 16 rebounds for Delaware (21-9, 13-2 CAA). Devon Saddler, Kyle Anderson and Davon Usher each chipped in 11 points, while Saddler grabbed eight boards. Usher recorded a team-high five steals in the win, which was second in the Blue Hens' last three games.

Tanner Milson was the only UNC Wilmington player to recorded a double-digit point total, netting 11 points for the Seahawks (9-22, 3-13). Freddie Jackson contributed nine points with five rebounds, and Shane Reybold grabbed a team- high nine boards. The Seahawks ended their season losing three of their last four games.

Delaware connected on 39.3 percent of its field goal attempts in the first half, and went just 2-of-11 from 3-point range, yet still led at the intermission, 29-25. UNCW hit just 28.6 percent of its shots from the floor in the first frame.

The Blue Hens improved their shooting accuracy to 46.7 percent in the second half, hitting 4-of-9 from deep. The Seahawks only improved to 33.3 percent in the period as the Delaware lead gradually got bigger.

The Blue Hens outscored the Seahawks in the paint, 38-22, and in points off turnovers, 14-7. UNCW had an enormous edge in bench points, 33-3.
