Recap: Drexel vs. Hofstra

Philadelphia, PA (SportsNetwork.com) - Frantz Massenat scored a game-high 24 points to go with seven assists as the Drexel Dragons defeated the Hofstra Pride, 74-63, in a Colonial Athletic Association battle at the Daskalakis Center.

Chris Fouch added 16 points for Drexel (14-11, 6-6 CAA), which has won three of its last four. Rodney Williams and Dartaye Ruffin chipped in 11 and 10 points, respectively.

Zeke Upshaw netted 20 points for Hofstra (8-19, 4-8), which has lost seven of its last eight games. Jordan Allen tacked on 10 points and Stephen Nwaukoni cleared nine boards.

At halftime Drexel led, 32-25. The Dragons connected on 43.5 percent of their field goal attempts in the frame, compared to a 38.1 percent effort from Hofstra.

After intermission Drexel heated up to 54.5 percent shooting, including a 7-of-10 showing from 3-point range. The Pride were unable to keep up, connecting on only 39.3 percent from the floor in the period.

Drexel had a 33-28 edge on the glass and knocked down 21-of-30 tries at the free-throw line.
