Recap: IUPUI vs. North Dakota St

Indianapolis, IN ( - TrayVonn Wright poured in 24 points as the North Dakota State Bison coasted to an 87-64 win over the IUPUI Jaguars in a Summit League tilt at The Jungle.

Kory Brown recorded a double-double for NDSU (12-5, 1-1 Summit) with 11 points and 10 rebounds. Taylor Braun chipped in 16 points, eight boards and four assists. Marshall Bjorklund and Mike Felt scored 12 points each for the Bison as they picked up their fifth win in six outings.

Marcellus Barksdale and Donovan Gibbs finished with 14 points apiece for the Jaguars (5-14, 0-2). Mitch Patton added 11 points for IUPUI as it dropped its second consecutive decision.

NDSU connected on 41.9 percent of its field goal attempts including 3-of-6 from behind the 3-point line in the opening period en route to a 35-31 halftime lead. The Jaguars hit on 50 percent of their shots from the floor but missed all three of their tries from beyond the arc in the first half.

IUPUI managed to sink only 36.7 percent of its field goal attempts in the second stanza. The Bison converted 59.4 percent of their shots from the floor including a 5-of-8 clip from 3-point range after the break to run off to a sizeable lead.

NDSU enjoyed a 38-26 edge in the rebounding battle and outscored the Jaguars, 42-22, in the paint in the contest.
