Recap: North Dakota St vs. IUPUI

Fargo, ND (SportsNetwork.com) - Lawrence Alexander scored 17 points to lead the North Dakota State Bison to a 66-60 victory over the IUPUI Jaguars in a Summit League battle at Bison Sports Arena.

Taylor Braun tallied 14 points for North Dakota State (17-6, 6-2 Summit), which has won six of its last seven. Jordan Aaberg netted 11 and Kory Brown chipped in 10.

Mitch Patton dropped in 16 points and Ja'Rob McCallum tacked on 15 for IUPUI (5-20, 0-8), which has lost nine straight.

North Dakota State missed all six of its 3-point attempts in the first half, but shot 46.4 percent from the floor. IUPUI hit on just 36 percent from the field and trailed 28-22 at intermission.

The Bison heated up to 57.1 percent shooting in the second half, although they still failed to knock down a shot from beyond the arc. The Jaguars had six triples in the frame, but shot at a 48 percent clip overall.

North Dakota State outscored IUPUI 52-12 in the paint and 20-7 off of turnovers.
