Recap: South Dakota St vs. North Dakota St

Brookings, SD (SportsNetwork.com) - Taylor Braun notched a game-high 30 points for the North Dakota State Bison, who defeated the South Dakota State Jackrabbits 85-77 in Summit League play at Frost Arena.

Braun shot 9-of-15 from the field for the Bison (15-5, 4-1 Summit), who have won four in a row. Marshall Bjorklund and Lawrence Alexander tallied 19 and 15 points, respectively.

Brayden Carlson logged 22 points to lead the Jackrabbits (10-10, 2-3), who have lost three of their last four. Jordan Dykstra (17 points), Chad White (16) and Cody Larson (14) also scored in double figures.

Both teams shot an even 50 percent from the field in the opening half. The Bison, however, gained an advantage with a perfect 12-of-12 from the free- throw line, taking a 41-37 lead at the break.

The Jackrabbits stayed consistent with another 50 percent shooting performance in the second half, but the Bison improved to 62.5 percent to put the game out of reach. They led by as many as 15, just over five minutes into the half, and cruised to the victory.

NDSU outscored its opponent 30-24 in the paint, where the Bison also outrebounded the Jackrabbits 34-24.
