Recap: Fairfield vs. Siena

Bridgeport, CT (SportsNetwork.com) - Rob Poole and Brett Bisping both tallied 19 points as the Siena Saints secured a 64-56 win over the Fairfield Stags in Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference action at Webster Bank Arena.

Poole and Bisping combined to knock down all 15 of their opportunities at the free-throw line, the latter also shooting 7-of-11 from the floor for the Saints (9-12, 5-5 MAAC) as they posted their second win in as many games.

The Stags (4-17, 1-9) were led by Maurice Barrow who accounted for 15 points and seven rebounds in a reserve role, while Justin Jenkins led the starters with 13 points and six rebounds as the team fell for the eighth time in the last nine outings.

Fairfield led by as many as 11 points late in the first half, but the team shot only 39.3 percent from the floor and 6-of-11 at the charity stripe through the first 20 minutes of the contest. Limited to just nine made field goals, the Saints found themselves trailing at the break, 31-25.

Siena turned it around in the second half, supplementing 45.8 percent from the field with a near-perfect 16-of-17 at the free-throw line, en route to the eight-point road win.

In a game that featured six ties and four lead changes, the Stags suffered 15 turnovers, which Siena traded in for 12 points on the afternoon.
