Recap: Cleveland State vs. Valparaiso

Cleveland, OH (SportsNetwork.com) - Trey Lewis had a game-high 17 points and Anton Grady posted a double-double with 13 points and 11 rebounds, as the Cleveland State Vikings notched a 69-50 win over the Valparaiso Crusaders in Horizon League play at the Wolstein Center.

Marlin Mason and Bryn Forbes each finished with 12 points and Jon Harris scored 11 off the bench for the Vikings (13-9, 5-3 HL), winners of three of their last four outings.

Alec Peters and LaVonte Dority shared team-high honors with 10 points apiece for the Crusaders (12-10, 4-3), who saw their three-game winning streak come to a halt.

Valpo made only five first-half field goals and shot 20.8 percent from the floor in the opening 20 minutes. Mason and Harris hit back-to-back 3-pointers midway through the period to spark a 10-0 run for the Vikings, who took a 31-20 lead into the break.

CSU shot 50 percent from the floor in the second stanza and led by as many as 22.

Valpo committed 16 turnovers to the Vikings' eight, as the Crusaders lost for the first time in the last five head-to-head meetings.
