Recap: Oakland vs. Cleveland State

Rochester, MI (SportsNetwork.com) - Charlie Lee scored 31 points and dished out six assists as the Cleveland State Vikings outlasted the Oakland Golden Grizzlies, 92-85, in Horizon League action at the Athletics Center O'Rena.

Jon Harris came off the bench to score 19 points with six rebounds, and Trey Lewis netted 16 points with five assists for Cleveland State (16-9, 7-3 Horizon). Bryn Forbes chipped in 11 points in the win, which was the fifth in a row for the Vikings.

Travis Bader led all scorers in the game with 35 points for Oakland (9-16, 4-6). Bader, who recently became the NCAA's all-time leader in 3-pointers, knocked down 10-of-13 from beyond the arc. Dante Williams chipped in 21 points off the bench, and Corey Petros scored 10. Kahlil Felder dished out a team-best 10 assists in the loss, which was the second in a row for the Golden Grizzlies.

Cleveland State came out firing in the first half, knocking down 55.6 percent of its shots from the floor. The Vikings took a 45-38 lead into the intermission after Oakland connected on 46.7 percent of its shots in the frame.

Both teams exploded in the second period. The Vikings hit 65.2 percent of their field goal attempts, including 8-of-13 from 3-point range. The Grizzlies hit 62.1 percent of their shots in the half, and went 8-of-15 from 3-point distance.

Cleveland State won the battle in rebounding, 30-21, and from the free-throw line, 18-9. Oakland beat out Cleveland State in points in the paint, 30-22, and in points off turnovers, 32-13.
