UNCW shot 48.1 percent from the field in the first half, slightly better than Manhattan's 48 percent, but the Jaspers went up 34-30 at the break by draining three 3-pointers in the opening stanza compared to just one for the Seahawks.

Manhattan led by 10 with under seven minutes left in the game, and while the Seahawks brought their deficit to just three in the final minute, they would get no closer. The Jaspers nearly cost themselves at the foul line in the second half. They attempted 29 free throws but only made 17 (.586).
