Recap: Rider vs. Manhattan

Lawrenceville, NJ (SportsNetwork.com) - George Beamon posted 22 points and six rebounds as the Manhattan Jaspers delivered an 86-69 win over the Rider Broncs in Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference action at Alumni Gym.

Also scoring in double figures for the Jaspers (18-6, 11-4 MAAC) were Michael Alvarado and RaShawn Stores with 18 and 11 points, respectively, as their won their fourth straight game.

The Broncs (12-12, 8-7), losers of three in a row, were paced by Anthony Myles with 19 points and six boards, followed by Jimmie Taylor and Khalil Alford with 11 points apiece and Kahlil Thomas 10.

Manhattan scored the first points of the night and never looked back, shooting an impressive 55.6 percent from the floor in the first half, including 7-of-13 behind the 3-point line, en route to a 42-38 advantage at the break.

In the second half the Jaspers dialed up the pressure at both ends of the floor and outscored the hosts at the free-throw line 17-10 in the period in order to claim the lopsided victory.

The visitors overcame 18 turnovers by converting an impressive 12-of-21 beyond the arc as they posted their 11th road win of the campaign.
