Recap: Detroit vs. Wright State

Detroit, MI (SportsNetwork.com) - Evan Bruinsma led all scorers with 17 points, and the Detroit Titans notched a 58-53 win over the Wright State Raiders in their Horizon League opener at Calihan Hall.

Anton Wilson added 12 points off the bench behind a 3-of-4 effort from the perimeter to help the Titans (8-8, 1-0 HL) notch their third straight win.

AJ Pacher and Chrishawn Hopkins shared team-high honors with 11 points apiece for the Raiders (9-8, 1-1), who entered the day riding a season-long four-game winning streak.

Neither team led by more than six in the first half, as Detroit took a slim 31-29 lead into the locker room.

The Titans made their move with a 10-0 second-half spurt. After rallying to tie the game with 3:21 to play, Wright State was held to just two points the rest of the way as the Titans scored seven straight points from the charity stripe down the stretch.

Detroit managed to win despite 36.4-percent shooting from the floor and 16 turnovers.
