Recap: Marist vs. Quinnipiac

Poughkeepsie, NY (SportsNetwork.com) - Jay Bowie scored 23 points and Chavaughn Lewis added 20 for Marist as the Red Foxes ran over the Quinnipiac Bobcats, 103-72, in a Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference season finale at McCann Arena.

Khallid Hart tacked on 15 points and T.J. Curry and Adam Kemp each had 12 points for Marist (12-18, 9-11 MAAC), which ended a three-game losing streak.

Zaid Hearst poured in 25 points and Ousmane Drame contributed 21 for Quinnipiac (20-9, 15-5), which lost its last two games of the season. Shaq Shannon tallied 12 points and Evan Conti grabbed 10 rebounds.

Marist came out of the gates on fire, sinking 54.8 percent from the floor, including 5-of-13 from 3-point range. Quinnipiac wasn't able to keep up, shooting 34.5 percent from the floor, as it trailed, 42-33, at the break.

The Red Foxes kept on firing in the second half, sinking 10-of-19 from 3-point range as part of a 52.6 percent overall shooting effort.

Quinnipiac still earned a 42-35 advantage on the boards in the loss. Marist made more 3-pointers (15) than Quinnipiac attempted (13).
