Recap: Detroit vs. Milwaukee

Detroit, MI (SportsNetwork.com) - JeVon Lyle poured in 20 points to lift the Milwaukee Panthers to a 68-62 victory over the Detroit Titans in Horizon League action at Calihan Hall.

Kyle Kelm added 11 points and six rebounds for the Panthers (17-13, 7-9 HL), while Austin Arians scored 10 points. Steve McWhorter tallied nine points, eight assists and five boards in the win.

For Detroit (13-17, 6-9), Jarod Williams netted 12 points in 20 minutes. Evan Bruinsma contributed 10 points as the Titans suffered their second consecutive setback.

Milwaukee assisted 10 of its 12 made field goal attempts in the first half. The Titans went into the intermission trailing, 29-23, after they were limited to 27.6 percent efficiency from the floor, including an 0-of-6 clip from 3- point range in the first half.

Although Detroit heated up to sink 46.7 percent of its shots from the floor after the break, the Panthers protected their lead by connecting on 53.8 percent of their field goal tries.

Milwaukee outscored the hosts, 18-9, from beyond the arc. Detroit came up short despite finishing with only seven turnovers compared to 17 by the Panthers.
