Recap: Siena vs. Niagara

Albany, NY (SportsNetwork.com) - Marquis Wright scored the final four points for the Siena Saints as they pulled out a close 66-62 home win over the Niagara Purple Eagles in Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference play at the Times Union Center.

Rob Poole had 15 points for the Saints (10-12, 6-5 MAAC), who extended their winning streak to three games. Wright and Evan Hymes scored 12 points apiece with Wright adding four assists.

Marcus Ware and Antoine Mason each logged 18 points for the Purple Eagles (6-16, 3-8), who have lost three of their last four. Rayvon Harris added 11 points and seven boards.

Niagara made 43.5 percent of its shots from the field in the first half and led 32-31 at the break. Siena connected on 41.9 percent of its field goal attempts, including just 2-of-7 from 3-point range, in the half.

With 43 seconds in the second frame left, Hymes made a 3-pointer to put the Saints up by one point. Wright would scored the team's last four points as they went on a 4-1 run to close out a slim home victory.

Siena had 15 assists whereas Niagara only had six total assists. The Saints also had the edge in bench points, 23-13.
