Recap: Wright State vs. Valparaiso

Dayton, OH (SportsNetwork.com) - AJ Pacher scored a game-high 20 points and cleared six rebounds for Wright State as the Raiders captured a 67-58 win over the Valparaiso Crusaders in Horizon League play at the Nutter Center.

Also scoring in double figures for the Raiders (17-13, 9-6 HL) were Cole Darling and JT Yoho with 12 and 10 points, respectively, as the team won a third straight game and for the fourth time in five tries.

The Crusaders (17-13, 9-6) were paced by Alec Peters with 11 points and Vashil Fernandez 10, the latter shooting a perfect 4-of-4 from the field as the squad bowed for the second time in the last three outings.

Wright State shot only 40.7 percent from the field in the first half, compared to 47.4 percent for the visitors, but the Raiders still moved out to a 32-23 advantage at the break thanks to a perfect 8-of-8 effort at the free-throw line.

In the second half WSU made good on 50 percent from the floor, but the team still played even through the final 20 minutes of action, allowing the home team to hold on for the nine-point victory.

Valpo limited the Raiders to only 4-of-14 shooting behind the 3-point line, but the Crusaders didn't do themselves any favors with 20 turnovers on the night.
