Hamden, CT (SportsNetwork.com) - Ike Azotam scored 21 points and pulled down 12 rebounds -- both game-highs -- as the Quinnipiac Bobcats cruised to an 82-61 win over the Rider Broncs in a Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference matchup at the TD Bank Sports Center.

Zaid Hearst added 13 points to help the Bobcats (14-8, 9-4 MAAC) avenge an earlier loss to Rider in the season's first meeting. Umar Shannon and Shaq Shannon scored 12 apiece, while Evan Conti finished with 10 points off the bench in the win.

For the Broncs (12-11, 8-6), Daniel Stewart led the way with 15 points, followed by Jimmie Taylor with 12 and Khalil Alford with 10.

Quinnipiac knocked down five first-half 3-pointers and held a 22-15 rebounding advantage in the opening frame, as it took a 34-27 lead into the break.

Azotam had 14 points and nine rebounds after halftime, and the Bobcats outscored the Broncs by a 16-2 margin at the foul line over the final 20 minutes to earn the victory.

Azotam's double-double was the 40th of his career, and it helped the Bobcats take over sole possession of third place in the MAAC standings.
