Recap: Saint Peters vs. Rider

Jersey City, NJ (SportsNetwork.com) - Anthony Miles paced all scorers with 19 points, as the Rider Broncs made easy work of the Saint Peter's Peacocks, 71-53, in Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference action at the Yanitelli Center.

Myles shot 5-of-6 from 3-point range for Rider (11-9, 7-4 MAAC), which has won back-to-back games. Shawn Valentine netted 13 points, Jimme Taylor had 12 points, seven rebounds and five assists and Daniel Stewart logged nine points and nine boards.

For Saint Peter's (7-13, 3-8), Desi Washington scored 15 points, while Marvin Dominique and Trevis Wyche poured in 12 points apiece.

Rider shot 48.4 percent from the field in the first half, and while Saint Peter's wasn't far behind at 45 percent, the Broncs took a 37-29 lead into intermission by shooting 7-of-15 from beyond the arc in the opening 20 minutes.

The Broncs remained steady from the field in the second stanza (.444) while the Peacocks faded fast due to their lackluster 26.9 percent showing.

Rider never trailed in the contest and shot a blistering 13-of-24 from long distance on the evening.
