Recap: Ill-Chicago vs. Milwaukee

Chicago, IL (SportsNetwork.com) - Jordan Aaron netted a team-high 18 points and dished out four assists as the Milwaukee Panthers defeated the Illinois- Chicago Flames, 67-63, in Horizon League play at the UIC Pavilion.

Matt Tiby scored 13 points, connecting on 7-of-9 from the free-throw line for Milwaukee (13-6, 3-2 HL). Cody Wichmann chipped in 11 points, and Steve McWhorter added 10 and eight assists before fouling out. The Panthers have won four of their last six games.

Marc Brown led the Flames (5-13, 0-4) with 18 points on 6-of-15 shooting. Brown turned the ball over a team-high seven times in the loss. Jake Wiegand netted 14 points and pulled down nine rebounds, and Jay Parker contributed 12 points and four assists. UIC has lost seven straight contests.

Milwaukee came out of the gates flat in the first half, hitting just 33.3 percent of its shots from the field, including 4-of-14 from 3-point range. UIC took a 36-23 lead into the locker rooms after connecting on 51.9 percent of its shots in the frame.

Milwaukee came out firing in the second, though, hitting 54.5 percent from the floor. The Flames went cold, shooting 27.3 percent, including 0-of-8 from 3- point distance.

The Panthers had the edge in points off turnovers, 23-10, and in bench points, 19-13.
