Recap: Saint Peters vs. Siena

Jersey City, NJ (SportsNetwork.com) - Desi Washington scored 18 points to lead the Saint Peter's Peacocks to a 66-53 victory over the Siena Saints in Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference action at the Yanitelli Center.

Marvin Dominique tallied 17 points and 12 rebounds for Saint Peter's (8-14, 4-9 MAAC), which put an end to a five-game losing streak. Trevis Wyche chipped in 13 points as well for the Peacocks.

Ryan Oliver netted 15 points off the bench for Siena (10-14, 6-7), which also got 11 and 10 points, respectively, from Brett Bisping and Lavon Long. The Saints have lost back-to-back games.

Although they only shot 39.1 percent from the floor in the first half, the Peacocks led 26-22 at the break. The Saints only had eight field goals in the opening period.

Saint Peter's improved to 48.1 percent shooting in the second half, while once again limiting Siena to fewer than 10 field goals.

The Peacocks owned a 20-6 scoring advantage off of turnovers. The game had as many lead changes as ties (eight).
