Recap: Milwaukee vs. Oakland

Milwaukee, WI (SportsNetwork.com) - Matt Tiby registered a double-double with 10 points and a game-high 17 rebounds as the Milwaukee Panthers crushed the Oakland Golden Grizzlies, 86-64, in Horizon League action at the Klotsche Center.

The top scorer in the contest was Jordan Aaron who used 5-of-9 shooting behind the 3-point line to come up with 23 points for the Panthers (15-9, 5-5 Horizon) as they won for the second time in as many outings. Austin Arians tallied 16 points, Kyle Kelm 12 and seven rebounds, followed by Steve McWhorter with 11 points and five assists.

The Golden Grizzlies (9-15, 4-5) were led by Travis Bader who dropped in 21 points on 6-of-11 shooting beyond the arc, setting the NCAA record for career 3-pointers in the process. Kahlil Felder posted 10 points and nine assists as the team had a two-game win streak snapped.

Oakland opened the meeting on a 6-0 run, but a quick 15-1 spurt by the hosts put Milwaukee in control and from there the Panthers posted a 41-38 advantage at the break. Milwaukee connected on 50 percent from the field through the first 20 minutes, including 8-of-16 behind the 3-point line.

In the second half the Panthers exploded for 64.0 percent accuracy from the floor, 5-of-9 on the perimeter, as they cruised to the 22-point home win.

Milwaukee survived 16 turnovers by producing a 41-24 rebounding advantage and limiting the Grizzlies to 37.5 percent shooting from the field.

Bader entered the contest needing three 3-pointers to surpass Duke's J.J. Redick for the all-time NCAA record. Redick held the mark of 457, set with the Duke Blue Devils from 2002-06.
