Recap: Drexel vs. UNC-Wilmington

Philadelphia, PA (SportsNetwork.com) - Tavon Allen scored 17 points off the bench as the Drexel Dragons earned a 61-50 win over the UNC Wilmington Seahawks in Colonial Athletic Association action at the Daskalakis Center.

Chris Fouch added 16 points and Frantz Massenat tallied 15 for Drexel (12-10, 4-5 CAA).

Addison Spruill led all scorers with 22 points for UNC Wilmington (6-17, 0-8), which has lost 12 straight.

Although Drexel only connected on 39.1 percent from the floor in the first half, it still led 29-24 at halftime by limiting the Seahawks to 38.5 percent.

The Dragons improved to 50 percent shooting in the second half, while also sinking all eight attempts from the free-throw line. UNC Wilmington could not keep up, hitting on just 33.3 percent from the floor.

UNC Wilmington lost despite a 13-0 edge in second chance points.
