Recap: Wright State vs. Houston Baptist

Mobile, AL (SportsNetwork.com) - Stephen Dixon scored 17 points in 20 minutes off the bench to lead the way as the Wright State Raiders defeated the Houston Baptist Huskies, 75-59, in the CBE Hall of Fame Classic at the Mitchell Center.

Miles Dixon added 16 points for the Raiders (3-2) while Reggie Arceneaux went 6-of-7 from the field to tally 15 points. Kendall Griffin chipped in 10 points to help Wright State improve to a winning record.

Cody Joyce paced HBU (1-3) with 11 points. Caleb Crayton scored 10 points in the setback.

The Huskies managed to build an eight-point in the early stages of the contest, but the Raiders stormed back to take a 36-34 lead into the intermission. Wright State converted 11-of-15 attempts at the free-throw line in the first half.

The Raiders knocked down 61.1 percent of their field goal attempts while limiting HBU to 28 percent shooting from the floor over the final 20 minutes to pull away.

Despite the loss, the Huskies held a 30-24 edge in the rebounding battle.

Wright State will play its final game of the CBE Hall of Fame Classic on Saturday versus South Alabama. Houston Baptist will take on Southern Miss in its final tourney game.
