Recap: Wright State vs. Western Carolina

Dayton, OH (SportsNetwork.com) - AJ Pacher scored 18 points and brought down eight boards as the Wright State Raiders beat the Western Carolina Catamounts, 85-77, in a non-conference matchup at the Nutter Center.

Reggie Arceneaux scored 12 points and had seven assists for the Raiders (5-3). Kendall Griffin and JT Yoho chipped in 11 points apiece while Cole Darling added 10.

Trey Sumler and Tom Tankelewicz led the Catamounts (5-5) with 15 points apiece. Brandon Boggs added 13 points Tawaski King paced the team with five rebounds.

Western Carolina shot a poor 33.3 percent from the floor in the first half which helped give Wright State a 35-26 lead at the half. The Raiders made 44.8 percent of their field goal attempts and drained 4-of-8 3-point tries. Wright State also managed to outscore Western Carolina 14-4 in the paint.

The Catamounts shooting improved in the second half as they went 48.5 percent from the field but the Raiders made 55 percent of its attempts from the field during the period to hold on.

Wright State never trailed or shared the lead during the game. The Raiders were able to take advantage of the Catamounts miscues as they outscored Western Carolina 20-13 on points off turnovers.
