Recap: Towson vs. Abilene Christian

Towson, MD (SportsNetwork.com) - Rafriel Guthrie scored 15 points off the bench to pace five Towson players in double figures, and the Tigers rolled to a 74-47 win over Abilene Christian as part of the Battle 4 Atlantis Mainland Tournament at SECU Arena.

Marcus Damas and Four McGlynn had 14 points apiece for the host Tigers (6-2), winners of three straight. Jerrelle Benimon scored 13 and Mike Burwell finished with 10 points in the win.

The Wildcats (2-8) suffered their third straight loss, as Jacob Lancaster was the only player in double figures with 15 points to go along with a game-high eight rebounds.

The Tigers never trailed in this one, as they shot 62.5 percent from the floor and made 6-of-12 3-pointers in the first half to build a comfortable 46-25 halftime lead.

There would be no second-half charge for the Wildcats, who made only 8-of-22 field goals after halftime.

Abilene Christian committed only seven turnovers for the game, but the Wildcats shot just 3-of-19 from beyond the arc (.158) and were also out- rebounded, 36-23.
