Recap: Citadel vs. Army

Lexington, VA (SportsNetwork.com) - Kyle Wilson scored 20 points to pace the Army Black Knights in an 84-69 triumph over The Citadel as part of the All- Military Classic at Cameron Hall.

Tanner Plomb and Josh Herbeck each chipped in nine points and Kevin Ferguson brought down a team-high seven rebounds for Army (1-1).

Brian White had game-highs in points (27) and rebounds (12) for The Citadel (0-2), which also got 20 points from Matt Van Scyoc.

Army connected on 51.5 percent of its shots from the floor and buried six 3- pointers to run out to a 49-36 lead at halftime. The Citadel lagged behind by netting just 42.9 percent of its field goal tries.

After halftime the Black Knights cooled to 44.4 percent shooting but The Citadel also slowed down, hitting just 39.3 percent of their shots in the final 20 minutes.

Army outscored The Citadel, 27-9, from beyond the arc. The Citadel had a slight, 35-32, edge on the boards.
