Recap: Alabama vs. Georgia State

Tuscaloosa, AL (SportsNetwork.com) - Trevor Releford scored a game-high 19 points to lead the Alabama Crimson Tide to a 75-58 victory over the Georgia State Panthers in regional round action of the NIT Season Tip-Off at Coleman Coliseum.

Releford did his damage on 6-of-13 from the field for Alabama (3-1), while Retin Obasohan added 18 points, four steals and three blocks. Levi Randolph chipped in 10 points and six rebounds for the host squad.

For Georgia State (2-2), Rashaad Richardson scored 16 points off the bench, while Manny Atkins netted 14 points.

The game was tied at 19 midway through the first quarter before Alabama ran off a 15-2 spurt to take control. The Tide went into the halftime locker room with a 38-30 lead.

The Tide extended their lead even further after halftime by shooting 12-of-26 from the floor and 12-of-16 from the foul line in the final 20 minutes.

Alabama held a decisive advantage on the glass, as it outrebounded Georgia State, 40-24.

With the win, Alabama has advanced to the semifinal round next week at Madison Square Garden, where it will take on Duke.
