Recap: Vanderbilt vs. Loyola Marymount

St. Thomas, VI (SportsNetwork.com) - Kyle Fuller scored 20 points as the Vanderbilt Commodores topped the Loyola Marymount Lions, 77-68, to claim a fourth-place finish in the 2013 Paradise Jam at the Sports and Fitness Center.

Eric McClellan added 16 points and James Siakam and Josh Henderson each chipped in 11 for Vanderbilt (4-2).

Anthony Ireland hit 8-of-21 shots to finish with 20 points for Loyola Marymount (5-2). Ben Dickinson and Gabe Levin each tacked on 10 points.

Vanderbilt went into halftime leading 34-30. The Commodores hit on 40.6 percent of their field goal attempts in the first period, which was better than the 32.4 percent effort put forth by Loyola Marymount.

After halftime the Commodores heated up to 60 percent shooting from the field, while knocking down 17-of-21 attempts from the free-throw line, to secure the victory.

The Lions lost despite scoring 20 points off of 13 turnovers. Vanderbilt held a 38-32 edge on the boards.
