Recap: UNC Greensboro vs. San Diego

Estero, FL (SportsNetwork.com) - Duda Sanadze led all five starters in double figures with 20 points to lead the San Diego Toreros to an 83-71 victory over UNC Greensboro in the second round of the inaugural Gulf Coast Showcase.

Christopher Anderson tallied 16 points and a game-high five assists in the triumph, while Johnny Dee netted 15 points for San Diego (6-1), which bounced back from its first loss of the season to Illinois-Chicago on Monday.

Jito Kok and Dennis Kramer added 12 and 10 points, respectively.

Kyle Cain dropped a game-high 21 points in the setback for UNCG (3-3), which hit just 7-of-22 shots from 3-point range. Tevon Saddler added 12 points.

Sanadze's three-point play around the first media timeout gave San Diego an early 13-2 edge. Jordan Potts drained a 3 for UNCG later in the period to cut the Spartans' deficit to 31-30, but the Tereros responded with an 8-1 burst to add to the cushion.

Layups by Kayel Locke and Saddler to open the second made it 45-42 in favor of San Diego. The lead stayed in single digits for the majority of the second half, but the Spartans never got over the hump. A pair of Dee free throws with 3:11 left in the contest put the game away.
