Recap: Coll of Charleston vs. Cal State Fullerton

Anaheim, CA (SportsNetwork.com) - Adjehi Baru registered a double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds as the College of Charleston Cougars captured a 61-48 win over the Cal State Fullerton Titans during the final round of the inaugural Wooden Legacy at the Honda Center.

Baru, who shot 5-of-9 from the floor, also logged five blocked shots for the Cougars (3-5). Anthony Stitt and Canyon Barry both tallied 14 points, Joe Chealey 12 points and Willis Hall a game-high 11 rebounds for the victors.

The Titans (2-6) were paced by Michael Williams, the only player in double digits for the squad, with 14 points as he connected on 3-of-5 shots behind the 3-point line.

Fullerton led by a point nine minutes into the first half, but the team shot a disappointing 32.1 percent from the field, leaving the Titans with a 35-23 deficit at the break.

After converting 50 percent from the field and 11-of-13 at the free-throw line through the first 20 minutes of action, Charleston dipped to 33.3 percent from the floor and a mere 8-of-17 at the charity stripe in the second half, yet somehow found a way to hold on for the 13-point win.

Fullerton was just 31.0 percent accurate from the field on the day and while Williams knocked down a trio of triples, the rest of the unit combined to make just 2-of-15.
